{"id":2092,"date":"2026-04-01T12:16:04","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T01:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mainfm.net\/hub\/?p=2092"},"modified":"2026-04-01T12:16:04","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T01:16:04","slug":"guidelines-of-the-use-of-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mainfm.net\/hub\/2026\/04\/01\/guidelines-of-the-use-of-ai\/","title":{"rendered":"Guidelines of the use of AI"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dear MainFM Presenters,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are in the process of drafting guidelines for the use of Artificial Intelligence.&nbsp; Here are a few key points;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MainFM is committed to delivering authentic human voices.\u00a0 AI generated voices are NOT to be broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In terms of using AI to generate written content, our draft guidelines at this stage point to a few things like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transparency:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Disclose when AI-generated content, such as a script used in broadcasts. Clearly state at the beginning, during, and after the broadcast that the script has been AI-generated. Rely on language that leaves no room for doubt, such as &#8220;The following words have been created with the use of AI&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Human Oversight:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Require human review and approval of AI-generated content to ensure it aligns with the station\u2019s values and policies. Avoid relying on AI for sensitive or controversial topics without proper human vetting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ethical AI Use:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use AI tools in a way that respects intellectual property, privacy, and consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avoid generating or spreading AI-based misinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Community Relevance:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ensure AI-generated content reflects the station&#8217;s commitment to local and cultural relevance, avoiding generic or culturally insensitive material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Limit Automation:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ensure AI is used to enhance, not replace, human creativity, storytelling, and community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s a rapidly changing space which can make creating policy around it challenging.
