Looking for something?

Welcome to 94.9 MainFM’s new volunteer resource. It’s called…

What is it?

The HUB is intended to become a place where all the helpful information our volunteers and staff would like to access can be easily shared, organised and stored for later.

What you see now is a raw version. It will evolve to become its most useful self with feedback from everyone along the way.

Everything that is shared with volunteers will first be created here. This means no matter whether you use social media or not, EVERYONE will be able to access everything provided you have a device, internet access and the website access link.

The Hub is not accessible to the general public, however anyone with the unique link can access it. This unique link can be changed and re-shared when need be.

How will THE HUB work?

The things we share will be categorised, tagged and archived. This means you will have at least 3 ways of searching for our content when you want to find it.

For example, this post has had the following categories applied; NEWS, UPDATES, and WELCOME. If you use the ‘By Category’ search in the side bar (or below on mobile), clicking any of these categories will link you back to this post and posts under the same category.

We’ve also used hashtags. This post is tagged with #thehub and #new. If you click either of these in the ‘Tag Cloud’ in the side bar (or below on mobile), it’ll link you back to this post and posts like it, too.

Over time, everything will also be archived by month and year as well.

What can I find here?

Browse the menu headings to see what is included so far. These can change to become more helpful. We’ll happily receive any suggestions you may have to help this resource become as useful and accessible as possible. Reach out to Alex at volunteers@mainfm.net if you have feedback.

You’ll notice there’s a calendar function. There’s a quick glimpse on the main page, but clicking ‘View Calendar’ will take you to the main monthly calendar display. We will upload relevant calendar dates here that will include key details, links and images.

Stay tuned and get in touch

Let us know what you think. We’ll all be learning to use this together and it’ll be very helpful to know what your experience of it is.

Keep up the GREAT work everyone and catch you soon.

Alex
