We’re looking for a couple of presenters and a Producer to host an Outside Broadcast for this event. The MainFM van will be parked outside the Market Building. If you would like to join the team, get in contact with Steph by commenting below.
Colourful decorations, live musical performances and vibrant street art are a few of the features of this Mount Alexander Shire Council free community Christmas event.

WE had a fantastic time at The Mount Alexander Shire Christmas Party. This was a Party for everyone. Aimee Chapman and myself Glenn Williams were right there in the middle of the street with Steve Charmen Our OB WIZ and as it would happen Our Guest Wrangler. Unfortunately Suzanne was unwell and couldn’t make it and Steph was also home unwell. We missed them terribly and sent a GET WELL message as we joined in the HAPPIEST of Christmas Parties. Sue joined Us for a lovely catch up along with a few other familiar mainFM faces. There was plenty of action, spectacular Street Art with Ulla Taylor and creative locals joining, a very talented magic Bubbles Elf who was a HUGE Hit with the young young ones. Rods and Custom Cars to keep the enthusiasts happy, ICE CREAM delicious icecream. You could even write a Christmas message and List to Santa. We spoke to the vibrant Miriam Tinkler Mount Alexander Shire Economy and Culture, the delightful Aileen Walsh Castlemaine Market Building Visitor Services, Scott Buchanan Pride Choir Conductor. Aimee’s daughter Aniese came in for a chat on air. We were treated to superb carolling from The Pride Choir and right on time SANTA arrived and suddenly all attention swung to the entrance of the Market Building. This was a terrific and FUN if a little hot OB. BIG Thanks to everyone, Steve for his flawless set up and back up and pack up, Aimee for her majestic self, All our Guests, Alex and Colin for assisting with Spot On Transitions. Our song list was full of great music all Australian Christmas Songs, Great Chat, plenty of giggles and laughter and a very thoughtful crowd who enjoyed the mainFM entertainment. Regards Glenn.
