Want to join the flashiest, most Hollywood MainFM committee?
MainFM relies on committees of moving and shaking volunteers to make guiding decisions about the big stuff. One such committee is the Fundraising & Communications Committee, or the ‘F&C’ committee. The F&C is looking for some fresh faces to kick of 2023.
New F&C members will gain opportunities to work with Steph, our Station Manager, and Sue, our Sponsorship Manager, on the station’s significant events throughout the year. Ideal members will help generate key event planning to inform:
- event concepts
- branding
- format
- logistics
- volunteer involvement
Commitment will vary as events come and go at different times, so F&C members aren’t required to meet at regular intervals. A further consideration is the committee’s emphasis on proactivity to act on and back up the creation of ideas. Ideas are excellent and essential, but the ‘leg work’ to bring them to fruition is key. If you fancy yourself as a ‘doer’, we want you!
Examples of events you will collaborate on include:
- International Women’s Day
- Main GAME – Community Cup Footy match
- Gin & Sonic
- Radiothon – Our biggest annual fundraising event
- Billy Cart Challenge
- The Rogies – Our annual awards night
