Open now – Deutsche Welle (DW) International Internship Program

Exciting news! Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s international broadcaster, is offering the Mike Thompson/Clare Atkinson Internship for aspiring multimedia journalists at 3CMR.

This paid internship is a unique opportunity for applicants to gain on-the-job training in DW’s multimedia newsroom in Bonn, Germany, with the possibility of extension or freelance work.

During the three-to-six-month internship, interns will work in DW’s English language online newsroom and undertake a range of tasks, including producing multimedia content, writing news articles, and editing English language news articles. If everything works out for both sides, DW may organize further experiences at different DW departments, including DW TV in Berlin.

Interns will also gain exposure to international stories and receive references from a highly respected international broadcaster.

To be eligible for this internship, applicants must have a native level of English, good German language skills, a university degree, commitment to community broadcasting, and work experience in print/online newswriting.

If you know of any aspiring multimedia journalists at 3CMR who may be interested in this opportunity, please encourage them to apply.

Applications can be sent to support@cbaa.org.au and should include a copy of their CV, university degrees, references, and work samples.

Applications close Friday 14 April at 5pm. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with DW and CBAA representatives in Australia.
