Radiothon – A Message From Steph

Dear Valued Presenters,
As you know Radiothon is fast approaching – Sue has been working hard to gather prizes together, posters are up around town, Rich Moffat is getting the grid sorted – it’s all shaping up!
Radiothon is a time to be playful and creative. The primary aim is to get listeners to call in and sign up as subscribers – and a great way to do that is to ensure you have fun.

We’ve put together a ‘Radiothon Presenters Handbook‘ with tips and helpful information.

If you would like some help putting together your Radiothon show please shout out to either Alex, Steph or Rich – or any of our presenters.

  • Radiothon kicks off at 9am on Saturday 15th July with Dig It, and finishes at 8pm on Saturday 22th July with The Wave.
  • Snacks are a big part of Radiothon, there will be snacks provided.
  • Everytime someone subscribes, they get a mention and a thank you on air.
  • Office helpers will be running into the studio during your show with the names of people you need to give a shout out to
  • You will need to spruik our sponsors and mention the prizes
  • Winners of the daily prizes will be drawn at random at the end of each day with the winners’ names announced on air the following day.
  • All SUBSCRIBERS will be eligible for the MAJOR PRIZES which will be announced in the first week of July.

Office Helpers – It would be great if you could help out in the office for a shift or two: taking subscriptions, running into the studio to deliver the latest names to be read out, and putting the subscriber packs together, topping up the snacks. Alex Playsted is putting the office roster together, check out The Hub to sign up, or follow this link: qrco.de/support949
Promotion – Please help promote Radiothon by liking and commenting on any socials we put out, and please invite your friends and family to like our FB and follow us on Insta. We’ve attached the artwork for you to share on your socials too.
We want you to have fun. Last year was really fun. If you feel stuck, need some ideas, or need some help – please let me know, we can come up with a plan together.

Many thanks,

Steph
