MainFM is passionate about community, after all, it’s the beating heart of our radio station and we love nothing more than getting out and engaging with locals face to face.
On Friday 4th December, we’re taking to the streets, hosting a Mega Garage Sale Street Party in Mechanics Lane (in front of the Castlemaine Library) as part of Mount Alexander Shire Council’s spring summer program of events.
There’ll be treasure trove of pre-loved and second-hand items for sale, including records, CDs, bric-a-brac, books, furniture and more, plus live music from ‘Battle of the Bands’ winner Fryer to set the tone, along with resident MainFM presenters bringing all the action from our humble broadcast caravan.
MainFM’s new merch featuring an exciting new design from Jace Rogers will be on sale and the MainFM billycart will be there for the kids to have a ride and a muck around. The festive spirit will be alive and well with the Garage Sale kicking off at 4pm and closing at 8pm.
Come along, pick up a bargain, grab some takeaway, enjoy a drink from the Shedshaker Bar and hang out to music from young local outfit Fryer along with blissful tunes from our talented DJs to fill the twilight air.
All proceeds from the event will ensure that MainFM continues to provide a platform for all voices in our thriving community. It’ll be huge, mega in fact!
