Sign Up for some Radiothon Support Shifts

Radiothon. You know the saying, ‘You get out what you put in’? This is the time we really get to FEEL the ways the community value MainFM. It’s magic.

During Radiothon, we aim to have 100% live shows, keeping the community connections strong each day. We make fantastic radio and appeal to the community to SUBSCRIBE TO MAINFM – which they typically do by the hundred.

This all relies on dedicated teamwork! While presenters are doing their thing on air, the office is abuzz with activity. Subscriptions come in online and over the phone, and they need to be ferried into the studios to be announced live and then processed so that subscribers receive their subscriber packs.

It’s all hands on deck, and we hope you’ll take a look at the support schedule and commit to some slots to help and join in on the fun.

Below is some info that might help you better figure out how to help and how the signup sheet works.

How does this work?

TWO SLOTS PER HOUR

We do not expect to have 2 people arrive for every hour.

There are 2 slots per hour so that people can see who may have signed up and choose to join them, if they wish.

Why? Two people in the office is way better! It’s more fun sharing the experience.

At least one person per hour is important, though.

LATE EVENINGS

For obvious reasons, fewer people want to sign up for later slots. However, the later presenters are just as deserving of office minions as everybody else! The slots are there and we’d love to see them taken up, but let’s see how we go.

MULTI-HOUR SLOTS

Got spare time? Why not stretch a one hour slot into 2?

PRE/POST-SHOW SLOTS

Consider coming in for a slot either side of your own show, perhaps. Two birds, one stone.

BUSY/QUIET TIMES

Some times are busier and quieter than others. It’s a little tricky to predict, but loosely, drive-times and Friday-Sunday are pretty jazzed. More hands on deck during these times would be greatly appreciated.
