Chewton Film Society and C-DOC present Locals Redux

Chewton Film Society are proud to announce that we are partnering with Castlemaine Documentary Festival to presentJoin us for this gala event!

Fill your afternoon with gregarious choirs, dancing communities, fearsome T-Rex dinosaurs, zooming billycarts, AI, an endless train, dancing Lego, and explore quieter moments of watching grass grow, muddy water turning to compost, a cemetery of children and witnessing community resilience.

Chewton Film Society and Castlemaine Documentary Festival 
are coming together to showcase 22 short films in LOCALS redux.

The films were submitted for the LOCALS Short Film Program, of the Castlemaine Documentary Festival 2024. 
A shortlist of twelve of the films was shown at the Festival. 

LOCALS redux will show all the submitted films over two sessions and includes ten premieres.The films are up to six minutes’ long of any style or genre from filmmakers of all experience levels.

What to expect? A fresh and wonderful mix that includes films from both first time and experienced filmmakers. Each session will show eleven different films – you can buy tickets to either or both sessions.
