Radio Picnic was a blast!

With the help of this fantastic crew, we managed to accomplish an 8 hour outside broadcast to celebrate all the MainFM volunteers on Sunday May 28th. Beside a damp and rainy Artists Market, we braved the weather and made it happen regardless.

Thanks to the On The Wing crew with Tadpole, Mitch, Herbie, Alice and guests, Luca, Elizabeth and Mitch on Art Swank, Amalie & Sherene from Queer and Now, our youth contingent featuring Indie, Georgie, Billy and Claire, Kya & Lucy from The Upshot, Rich and Shane with a combo hour, Emily & Rosie doing the same, as well as Joel Pearson & Alan Fitzpatrick to bring it home together until 5. Everyone helped generate a fantastic vibe for folks on the ground and at home on the radio, and they absolutely did the whole station proud.

Big shout out to those who dropped past to say hi despite the inclement weather. It was wonderful to see you.

So 3 cheers for all you amazing MainFM people! Times like these are great reminders of the depth of meaningful connections MainFM is always creating within our wider community, and that comes down to you. Your efforts are appreciated by many and in more ways than you understand.
