We are delighted to once again be partnering with Castlemaine Documentary Festival as they bring another stellar program to Castlemaine, offering three days of feature documentaries and speakers from 16-18 June.
In addition to the Theatre Royal program of feature documentaries and panels, other special events include four Australian premieres: Trained To See – 3 Women and the War, Equal the Contest, The Thief Collector and Weed & Wine.
The festival is growing with the addition of an Augmented Reality Showcase presented by Sensilab, that aims to introduce audiences to the impacts of new technologies on storytelling.
The new Yurt Micro-Cinema will offer a family focused program in the mornings and youth focused programming in the afternoons.
LOCALS is also returning as the Opening Night celebration.
Closing Night will feature a silent film from 1925, Grass, that documents the migration of the Bakhtiari tribe across what is now Iran. CDoc has commissioned a live musical score that will be performed by ZÖJ, a Ballarat-based duo featuring Gelareh Pour and Brian O’Dwyer.
Tickets are on sale now and we have a link to tickets via the MainFM website.
Festival Director Claire Jager and Production Manager Dunnielle Mina are willing and available for an interview and are happy to connect presenters with filmmakers if any of the programming is of particular interest (with ticket giveaways to coincide with interviews).
Get in touch with Sue sponsorship@mainfm.net if you would like to organise an interview.
