This is information about the accessibility of our office and studios at 1 Halford Street, Castlemaine.

Accessible car park out the front on Halford Street.

Car park is approximately 40 metres from the main entrance.

Halford Street is on a slope.

Slightly uneven bitumen to flat concrete transition with a drain grate across the entrance.

The concrete is flat to the main door.

Flat concrete surface to the ground floor entrance.

The glass entrance door is medium weight and swings easily.

It’s open from 9am until 5pm.

The door handle pulls downward.

The door self closes.

There is a very slight bump across the entrance threshold before a flat, wide corridor.

The corridor is wide with few obstacles.

Toilets are available.

An e-waste recycling bin is on the left-hand side.

The elevator is about 15 metres from the entrance door.

The elevator entrance is 120cm wide.

There are hand-rails inside.

The buttons are a little above hand-rail height.

The gap between the floor and the elevator is 4cm wide.

The level 1 corridor is wide and flat with few obstacles.

There are stairs near the elevator.

There are 23 stairs in two flights.

Each step is 14cm high. Some step edging is broken.

The level 1 corridor entrance is 103cm wide.

The corridor is wide and flat and free of obstacles.

There is usually a place to sit around the corner.

There is an accessible bathroom opposite the entrance corridor to MainFM.

The bathroom door is 85cm wide.

The accessible bathroom has a handrail by the toilet.

There is a window with a shutter.

The mirror is at window height.

The main office entrance is 95cm wide.

There is a book stand and chairs between the door and the studios that require turns.

The floor is flat.

The studio doors are both 85cm wide.

The studios are spacious.

The lighting is dimmable.

The chairs are on rolling wheels and don’t have arm rests.

The table tops are 74cm high to the underside surface.

The corridor before studio 3 has a light switch on the wall.

Studio 3 has a sliding door. It is light to operate.

The door has a padlock that is 150cm off the ground.

The studio 3 padlock is good quality.

The code wheels are quite easy to move.

This after hours stairwell is to the right of the main entrance off Halford Street.

There are 22 stairs, each 15cm high.

The ground to the stairwell is quite uneven.

There is a light on at night.

The stairwell entrance requires a pin code to enter.

The door is medium weight and self-closes.

The stairwell entrance has a very slight bump across the threshold.

There is a light switch on the wall to the right inside the entrance way.
