Do you want to be a volunteer?

Almost everyone at the station are volunteers. It’s simple to begin a volunteer journey of your own.

Step one is to submit a membership form and pay the membership fee.

Whether you plan to be a presenter or a non-presenting volunteer, you’ll need to become a paid member first.

There are roles and events in the MainFM calendar that really benefit from volunteer support. Roles may be short or long term depending on what’s happening at the station. If you have a skill-set you’d like to share with MainFM, we’d love you to let us know.

Becoming a MainFM Presenter – getting started

MainFM has a supportive approach to welcoming and training new presenters.

Once you have submitted your membership application to let us know you’d like to be a presenter, our Training and Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to begin our welcome and training process with you.

We know everyone starts with varying levels of skill and experience and we take this into account.

There’s no rush and there are no silly questions. Learning how to create radio at MainFM is safe and fun.
